Paul Reed

Mr. Paul B. Reed, age 91, a longtime resident of Mohawk, passed away on Friday August 6, 2004, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica. He was born on September 7, 1912 in Kirkland, Ny the son of Claude and Maude (Thompson) Reed. Paul joined in marriage with Lucille E. Burton on November 21, 1936 in West Winfield, a loving union of 67 years together. Paul was a self employed contractor in the Mohawk area. He was a member of the Mohawk Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife: Lucille E.; his son: James T. Reed and his wife Constance (Higby) of Fairport, NY; his grandchildren: Victoria Reed Schubert of Zurich, Switzerland; and Kirsten Reed of California; his brother: Robert Reed of Deland, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters: Dorothea Barton, and Shirley Hanson. There will be no public visiting hours. A memorial service will be held at a later time to be determined by the family. Final interment will take place in the family plot at Mohawk Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may considered to the Valley Health Services, 690 East German Street, Herkimer, NY 13350.
