Mr. Paul George Mocko, 78, of 4302 SE 8th Court, Gresham, Oregon, a longtime resident of Little Falls, passed away surrounded by family love on Sunday, November 17, 2002 in Oregon. He was born on June 13, 1924, in Little Falls; son of the late Paul George and Suzanna (Smolik) Mocko and was educated in Little Falls schools. Mr. Mocko went on to attend RPI for two years. He had served our country as an officer (Captain) with the Army Air Corps during World War II with a B-24 Crew, 459th Bomb Group as a Navigator. Paul joined in marriage with the former Margaret A. Dunsmuir in 1943. The couple had shared in a blessed union of 54 years. Mrs. Mocko passed away in 1997. Paul had worked with Utica Mutual Insurance Company as a Field Inspector from 1965-1989, having retired after 26 years of dedicated service. He was actively involved at one time with the Kiwanis organization, along with the Boy Scouts. At one time he had served as a counsel officer with the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Little Falls, of which he was a member. He also attended the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Oregon, where he had lived since 1997. He was a very devoted husband and father and is survived by his beloved family including his children: Paul G. Mocko along with his special friend, Greg Patterson of San Francisco, Calif., Robert Mocko along with his wife Carol of Ilion, Susan Bosch along with her husband Ron of Gresham, OR, and the Rev. John Mocko and his wife Suzanne of Montrose, CO; grandchildren: David, Lindsay, Kara, and Margaret all of Montrose, CO, John of Missoula, Montana; Suzanne of Reading, CA, Ken of Las Vegas, Tim and Ron of Gresham, OR, and Lisa of Ilion; a brother, Walter Mocko of Little Falls; a brother-in-law, Bill Dunsmuir of Plains, PA; and five great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter Margaret and several in-laws. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 22, at 10 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Gansevoort Street, Little Falls. Spring interment will take place at the Holy Trinity Cemetery with military honors. Calling hours at the Enea Funeral Home., 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls will be on Thursday, November 22, from 5-8 p.m. Those wishing are asked to consider donations in memory of Paul to the World War II Veteran Memorial Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
