ILION - Patricia "Pattie" (Paulus) Jensen, age 68, of Second St., Ilion, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica, with her family by her side.
She was born on November 25, 1945, in Ilion, the daughter of Samuel and Alice (Evans) Paulus, and graduated from Ilion Central High School in 1963. Pattie was employed as a Senior Credit Specialist at ACS in Utica for the past 25 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Julie Jensen, of Ilion; her son, Chief Michael Jensen, USN, and his wife, Sharon, stationed in Rota, Spain; three grandsons, Robert, Zachary and Nicholas Jensen; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and David Hoffman, of Ilion, and Tina and Mike Dunn, of New Hartford; two nieces, Andrea Hoffman and her fiance´, Eric Hitchcock, and Kayla Johnson; one great-nephew, Kaden Robinson; two aunts, H. Kris Paulus and Judy Hummell; and several cousins.
Pattie has gone home to be with her parents, the late Samuel and Alice Paulus.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Saturday, September 27, 2014, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home's newly reopened location at 102 West St., Ilion, NY, with Deacon James Bower officiating. Interment will be in Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion.
Calling hours are Saturday, September 27, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon prior to the funeral home service at 102 West St., Ilion.
Pattie's family wishes to thank the staff in ICU at St. Elizabeth Medical Center for their excellent care and compassion. Also, thank you to her co-workers at ACS for their love and support during her illness. Special thank you to her caregiver, Julie Young.

Pattie's family has entrusted all her service arrangements and supervision to their family Funeral Director and long time friend, Don Applegate.
