Mrs. Norma Rose Young 85 a resident of the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home in Ilion since April 2006 and who resided with her great niece Kelly and Kevin Bellinger Sr. of 757 State Rt 170A Little Falls , passed away Friday morning May 15, 2009 at the nursing home.
She was born in Syracuse on November 7, 1923 the daughter of William and Minnie (Lanphere) Sheppard.
In her earlier years Norma was a "family babysitter" who loved to help with the children and of course was a big help to her family by doing so.
She is survived by her Sisters Eileen Trickler and Carole Mazur and her Nieces and Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews and her Great Great Nieces and Nephews. Her son Richard "Dicky" Young died many years ago as a young baby.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Stratford Cemetery. There are No Calling Hours.
