Nancy S. Mcgowan

FRANKFORT – LITTLE FALLS - Nancy Suzanne Rowland McGowan passed away peacefully on May 12th, 2025, at The Cottages in Cicero, New York. Prior to her current residence, she lived at The Hearth at Greenpoint in Liverpool, NY.

Nancy was born August 16th, 1932, in Ilion, NY to the late Chester and Katherine Phillips Russell. She graduated from Ilion High School in 1951. She was married to and predeceased by Edward Rowland and Robert McGowan, Sr. She worked at Martin Reel in Mohawk and retired from Little Falls Hospital. She was a Life Member of the Marine Corps League Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and Veterans of Foreign War Auxiliary. She lived in Frankfort and Little Falls.

She is survived by Katherine (Rowland) Bonner (Gary), Liverpool NY; John Rowland (Christine), Liverpool, NY; Lou Ann (McGowan) Przydatek (Edward) Little Falls NY; Robert McGowan, Jr., Orlando FL; Nancy (McGowan) Brewer, Mohawk, NY; Patrick McGowan, Arizona, William McGowan (Tina), Nebraska; and Joan (McGowan) Congdon. Nancy also leaves behind numerous grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday May 19th, 2025, at 11:00 AM at The Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home located at 4309 Acme Road in Ilion, NY. We will then process to St. Mary’s Cemetery in the town of Herkimer, NY where Nancy will be laid to rest alongside Robert.

Relatives and friends are invited to a one hour calling hour at the funeral home on Monday morning prior to the beginning of the service from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM and attend the services that follow.
