Nancy Davis

HERKIMER-Nancy Smith Davis, 66, formerly of Midtown Apts, passed away peacefully Thursday morning at Alpine Healthcare in Little Falls.







She was born July 23, 1944 in Herkimer, daughter of the late William and Lucille (Stone) Smith. Nancy was in the class of 1962 at Herkimer High School. The majority of her work was as an X Ray Technician at Little Falls Hospital, St. Elizabeth Medical Center and the former Herkimer Hospital. Nancy enjoyed helping people and was dedicated to her work and family. She attended the St Francis De Sales Church, Herkimer.







She is survived by her beloved family: two sons Richard Davis of Macedon, NY, Stephen Davis and wife Marloe of Ballston Spa; brother James Smith and wife Helene of Deerfield; sister Elizabeth Bennett and husband Robert of East Herkimer; four cherished grandchildren: Richard, Emily, Abigail and Katherine Davis; an uncle: Irving Stone of Rome; Many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, helpers and her dear friend for many years, Donna Beatty of Dolgeville. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Smith.







In keeping with Nancy's wishes, there are no public calling hours. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a memorial graveside service commencing at 12 noon, Friday, October 8, 2010 at Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer, at the Smith family plot. The family thanks the nursing home for their tender loving care offered throughout Nancy's illness. Cremation services are being arranged by Enea Family Funeral Home, Daniel J Enea, funeral director.
