HERKIMER: Mildred Powell, 92, a Herkimer resident, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Folt's Home.
Born on April 8, 1923 in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late Hamilton and Marion (Robinson) Powell. She was employed at one time for the Milner Hotel in Utica as a hotel manager. Mildred was a very happy and peppy lady, with a cheerful personality. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing bingo and visiting with her friends at the Folts Home. Another favorite past time was feeding the squirrels.
She is survived by several dear friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Folts Home, Herkimer.
Mildred's funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. WASHINGTON STREET, Herkimer (F.K.A. Holleran Funeral Service) 315-866-1011 and are under the direction of Harry J. and Kevin E. Enea, Funeral Directors.
