LITTLE FALLS - Mrs. Mildred “Millie” Koziol, age 98, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023, after a long and fulfilling life. She was with family and at peace as she left this world. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed, by all those who loved her.
The family asks that you remember Millie with a smile. Her kindness, humor and love of family were a gift to all lucky to know her and will be her greatest legacy. Millie’s life was a lesson to all of us. She was regularly found out and about with friends and family, walking everywhere and attending community and church events. Millie was a member of St. Paul's Unitarian Universalist Church. She valued family more than anything and kept track of everyone through visits, cards and calls. Her homes were full of pictures of family and she would update everyone who came to visit.
She is survived by her beloved family: granddaughter, Melissa, of Dolgeville, NY, who she visited with regularly; and grandson, Kris and his wife, Nancy, of Bennington VT. Being a great-grandmother brought her so much happiness and she will be missed by Daniel, Laeken and Chase.
The family has no doubt that Millie was reunited joyfully with those who predeceased her: her adoring husband, Stanley, whom she married on May 13, 1944 and whom she lost on September, 14, 2011; and her beloved son, Allen, who passed on October, 5, 2016. She was also welcomed by her parents, Martin and Anna (Pribish) Rohacek; and siblings, Anna Perkov, Betty Povec, Rudolph, John and Milan Rohacek.
Millie’s most recent employer was Little Falls Hospital.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at Church Street Cemetery, in Little Falls, NY, with Rev. Jeff Frank, officiating.
Those who wish to honor Millie’s memory may make a donation to St. Paul’s Unitarian Universalist Church, 565 Albany St., Little Falls, NY 13365, in her name.
Gratitude is extended to Valley Health Services in Herkimer, NY, for their kindness to and care of Millie. The family also thanks the Enea Family Funeral Home, in Little Falls, NY, for their assistance.
Millie’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Enea, Ciaccia & Applegate Funeral Directors.
