Michael "Waz" Waseleski

HERKIMER – Michael “Waz” Waseleski, age 54, of Herkimer, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 6, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on May 10, 1969, Michael was the son of the late Michael Waseleski and Evelyn (Knewasser) Mower. He was raised and educated locally, graduating from Mohawk High School.

Michael, a longtime resident of the Mohawk Valley, worked hard building a reputation as a renowned electrician in the area. He was also very proud to apprentice both of his sons in the field.

He is survived by his two sons, Morgan Waseleski and wife, Madelyne, of Mohawk and Brady Waseleski of Herkimer; his granddaughter, Evelyne Waseleski, and one grandson on the way! He also leaves his brothers, Jason Waseleski and Crystal of Mohawk, John Waseleski of Herkimer, Grace Mower of Ilion and Rachael Waseleski of Herkimer.

He was predeceased by his parents and his beloved life partner, Danielle Lawrence, with whom he shared the blessing of their two sons.

Michael’s family extends their sincerest thanks to his medical team at Bassett for their compassion and care throughout his illness.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 1:00PM – 4:00PM at the Polish Community Home, 319 South Washington Street, Herkimer, NY.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Enea, Ciaccia & Applegate funeral directors. Online notes of sympathy may be left at www.eneafamily.com .
