SAUQUOIT-ILION – Michael Reska, age 62, of Sauquoit, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, of natural causes, due to Covid 19.

He was born on November 16, 1958, in Utica, NY, the son of Walter J. Reska and Viola (Tanner) Reska. He had a special relationship with his brother, Bob and his friends at the Hall House and Upstate Cerebral Palsy staff for many years. A special thanks by Michael’s family to all who cared for him.

Surviving family members include his mother, Viola Mae Reska; his sister and brother-in-law, Anna (Reska) Conley and Mark Conley; his brothers and sister-in-law, Walter and Denise Reska and Robert and Mary Reska; his nieces and nephews, Mark Conley II, Jennifer Dodge, Charles Goldsteine, Peter Conley, Christopher Reska, Jonathon Reska and Morgan Sheppard; and his Godmother, Patricia Holmes.

He was predeceased by his father, Walter; and his brother, John.

A private family viewing and Service of Rembrance will be held at the convenience of the family, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home’s larger location, at 4309 Acme Rd. (old Main St.) between Frankfort and Ilion. Due to Covid 19 concerns, all invited family members planning on attending services are asked to please wear a mask for everyone’s safety.

In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Upstate Cerebral Palsy, 125 Business Park Dr., Utica, NY 13502. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Michael’s service arrangements and supervision were prearranged and are entrusted to his Family Funeral Director and friend, Don Applegate, at Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Homes.
