Michael J. Palmer Jr.

SCHUYLER – Michael J. Palmer, age 35, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, October 6, 2024, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Utica on September 10, 1989, Michael is the son of Michael J. Palmer, Sr. and Geraldine “Geri” (Coffin) Palmer. He was raised and educated in Schuyler, graduating with the Frankfort-Schuyler Class of 2007. He then went on to continue his education at HCCC.

For some years, Mike was employed as a delivery driver with Amazon. Most recently, he completed his licensure to become a real estate agent and was currently employed with Keller-Williams Real Estate.

On June 30, 2016, Michael was joined in marriage to the former Abril T. Williams. Together they have spent the last eight years growing their family and building their life together.

Mike was a fun-loving man who lived his life to the fullest and found joy in the simple things. He loved music and was an avid guitarist. He was a handyman and jack of all trades who would keep busy building and fixing things. He had a soft spot for animals and above all else, he adored his children. He was a hands-on Dad who loved playing games and spending any time he could with his growing family. His time here on earth was all too short and he will be greatly missed by those he leaves behind.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Abril Palmer; his children, Tristam Palmer, Kairi Palmer, Aurora Palmer, Tyr Palmer and Godric Gebolys; his father, Michael J. Palmer, Sr; his mother, Geraldine J. Palmer and her companion, Marquesein Mann; his maternal grandmother, Scherley Seeman; his maternal grandfather, Larry DeLand; his sister, Sadie Palmer and her fiancée, Daniel Sehn; his brother, Jerry Palmer and Erica Dunton; his niece, Sophia Matteson and his nephew, Connor Matteson.

He also leaves his aunt, Norma Coffin; uncle, Worden Coffin; cousins, Jennifer Tripple, Kaitlyn Bass, Amber Lamb and Roy Coffin; and his list of longtime friends, with mention of Bobby Ruffule, Austin Evanchak, Geoff Lyszczarz, Earl Baker, Justin Jakubowski, Daniel Haughton, Chris Javitz, Jamie Palumbo, Shawn Bower, Cara Flagg, Christian Edick, Tyler Damin, Gus Hull and Tyler and Megan Mead; and so many more, too numerous to mention.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend calling hours for Mike on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 1:00PM – 3:00PM at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Town of Frankfort, Ilion, NY (315) 894-8000. A memorial service will take place at 3:00PM at the funeral home, immediately upon the conclusion of visitation, after which a Celebration of Life will be held at the St. Francis di Paola Society, 152 8th Avenue, Frankfort, NY 13340. All are invited to attend.
