Mary Vesp

Mary M. Vesp, 91, a longtime Fort Plain resident, passed away on Thursday November 8, 2007, at the St. Johnsville Nursing Home. She was born May 2, 1916, in Fonda, NY the daughter of the late Frank & Jennie (Compani) Giaquinto and was educated in Fonda schools. Mary was married to John R. Vesp, Sr. who preceded her in death. She was last employed at the former Luxuray Inc., in Fort Plain. Mrs. Vesp was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Fort Plain. Survivors include her daughter Joan Vesp of Canajoharie, a son, John R. Vesp, Jr. and wife Maria of Fort Plain, a brother, Dominick Giaquinto and wife Lucy of St. Johnsville, 6 grandchildren, Nicole Clarke and husband Chris of Hagaman, Gavin Vesp and wife Vicki of Las Vegas, Nevada, Kristine Burleigh and husband Ed of Chittenango, Alicia Beebe and husband Jeff of Conn., Erica Asmussen and husband Jeff of Cortland, and Jennifer Vesp of Fort Plain, 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews & cousins. She was pre-deceased by a son, William Vesp, and two brothers, Carmen & Angelo Giaquinto. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 14, 2007 at 10:00 am from St. James Catholic Church, Fort Plain, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend John Roos. Burial will be in Fort Plain Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, on Tuesday November 13, 2007 from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers please make all memorial contributions to St. James Catholic Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
