Mary (Hopper) Sterling

MASON, OH, - Mary (Hopper) Sterling, age 84, of Mason, OH, formerly of Milford, OH, Herkimer, NY, and Mohawk, NY passed away Friday, July 6, 2018.

She was the beloved wife of 64 years to Robert Sterling; devoted mother of Tracy ( Sterling ) Shump and son-in-law Adam Shump; sister of Joeanna Caswell and Marie McGowan; and cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Mary was an inspiration and dear friend to many. Mary will be missed by her granddog, Princess. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lillian Hopper; and eight siblings, Herb, Walter, Ted, Fred, Paul, Dorothy, Pearle, and Georgeanna.  She was a resident of Mason, Ohio and a former resident of Milford, Ohio, Herkimer, New York, and Mohawk, New York.

In lieu of a viewing and service, there will be an Open House celebrating Mary's life at Mom's Antiques & Treasures; 121 Main Street, Morrow, OH 45152 on Saturday, July 14, 2-5:00 p.m. She will rest at the family plot in upstate New York at Frankfort Hill Cemetery .
