Little Falls: Mrs. Mary Grace Smith, 83, of Furnace Street, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility, Little Falls. She was a lifelong resident of Little Falls.



Mary Grace was born on March 2, 1929 in Little Falls, a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Pietrafesa) Pasquale. She received her education in Little Falls schools. On May 6, 1950, Mary Grace and Harry V. Smith, Sr. were united in marriage in St. Mary's Parish House. After a loving marriage of fifty-five years, her beloved Harry passed away on December 2, 2005.



Mary Grace was employed for many years with Salada Foods. She was a faithful communicant of Holy Family Parish Church, and a member of the Rock City Senior Citizens. Mary Grace's life revolved around her family, and she dearly enjoyed her beloved grandchildren.



Mrs. Smith is survived by her sons, Gary and his wife Diane and Barry and his wife Jean of Little Falls; a sister, Lucy Brown, also of Little Falls; grandchildren, Alexis, Tara, Bryan, Quintin, and Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Kiley, Jacob, and Alana; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Smith; a sister-in-law, Doris Pasquale; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary Grace was predeceased by her husband, Harry, Sr.; a son, Harry, Jr. "Skip"; brothers, Salvadore (Phil), Emilio, Rocco, and Mike Pasquale; and a sister, Carmella Calafrancesco.



Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass, celebrated by the Reverend Thomas Lawless in Holy Family Parish Church, at 9:30 am on Thursday, July 26, 2012. She will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer. There are no public calling hours.
