HERKIMER: Mary Emmy Scalise, age 94, a longtime Herkimer resident, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2011 at Folts Home, Herkimer.
She was born December 3, 1916 in Little Falls, the daughter of Peter and Mary Riccardo. Emmy was educated in Little Falls and resided in Herkimer for many years. She was the wife of Orleans "Cappy" Scalise and the mother of a son, Danny, who are both deceased.
She is survived by a brother, John J. Riccardo of Birmingham, MI. She was predeceased by brothers, Nicholas J. and James J. Riccardo and sisters, Anne R. Lacelle and Jennie Riccardo.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 15, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at Sts. Anthony & Joseph Church, Herkimer, where a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Reverend Thomas Lawless, Pastor. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington Street, Herkimer, NY 13350, 315-866-1011 and are under the care of Harry J. Enea, Funeral Director.
