Mary Sanders

Mary L. Sanders, 83 of the St. Johnsville Nursing Home, passed away on Saturday October 7, 2006 at Little Falls Hospital. She was born December 23, 1922 in St. Johnsville the daughter of the late Joseph & Margaret (Clark) Jones, and was educated in St. Johnsville. Her marriage to Raymond I. Sanders, I, took place on July 22, 1948 in Montrose, PA. The couple shared a blessed union of 53 years until the passing of Mr. Sanders on October 22, 2001. Mary was employed at one time at the former Palatine Dye Co., in St. Johnsville. Survivors include 4 sons, Raymond Karl Sanders and wife Doris of North Carolina, Raymond Isaac Sanders, II and wife Sandy of Johnstown, Leland Sanders and wife Nancy of St. Johnsville, and Larry Sanders, Sr. and wife Kathy of St. Johnsville, 3 daughters, Sonya Russ of St. Johnsville, Alberta White and husband David of Fordsbush, and Donna Gay and husband James of Little Falls, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, and several nieces & nephews. She was pre-deceased by a son, Ronald Cross of Palatine Bridge in 1966. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 10, 2006 at 1:00 pm from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville with Reverend Hans Drews, officiating. Burial will be in Fort Plain Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Tuesday October 10, 2006 from 11:00 am until the time of the services.
