Mary L. Moore

Ms. Mary L. (Griffin) Moore, age 89, of Ilion, NY went to the lord with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Little Falls Hospital.

Mary was born on September 19, 1937, in Warren, NY. A daughter of the late Emery and Marguerite (Rose) Griffin. For many years, Mary worked at Valley Health Services in housekeeping.

A devoted mother, and grandmother, Mary loved spending time with her family and her special companion, her cat Molly. As well as playing bingo and card games.

Mary is survived by her three daughters and son-in-laws; Dawn Edick, Mary and Brian Stone, Cathy and Ken Williams, and her beloved sister, Vivian McGraw. Additionally, she leaves her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, her daughter Cynthia Rook, two grandchildren, Ronald Miller Jr. and Larry Boyer, her sisters; Gloria Smaldone of Frankfort, Dorothy Rowland of Ilion, Patricia Brownell of Ilion, and Victoria Dineen of Schuyler, her brothers; Leo Griffin and Ed Griffin.

Mary’s family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the staff at Basset in Herkimer, who adored Mary and took good care of her with additional gratitude to the Folts Brook Nursing Home staff and the Little Falls Hospital staff for the care and compassion they showed Mary.

In keeping with Mary’s wishes, all funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of her family at a later time.
