Mary Lamanna

Mary R. Lamanna, 89, of 308 S. Bellinger St., Herkimer, passed away on Monday March 13, 2006 at Valley Health Services, Herkimer, NY. She was born April 30, 1916 in Little Falls, NY the daughter of the late John & Lucia (Scocia) Nunno, and was educated in Little Falls schools. Her marriage to Samuel Lamanna, Sr., took place in 1932. Mr. Lamanna passed away in March of 1980. Mary assisted her late husband as a receptionist for the Sam Lamanna Moving & Storage until her retirement. Mrs. Lamanna was a member of the Church of Sts. Anthony & Joseph. As a great cook, Mary enjoyed sharing her favorite recipes with her family. In her leisure Mary enjoyed tending to her flower garden. An avid music lover, Mary enjoyed Country & Western Music. Survivors include her children, Anthony Lamanna of Mohawk, John Lamanna and wife Marion of Syracuse, Samuel Lamanna, Jr., and wife Virginia of Mohawk, Raymond Lamanna and wife Joanne of Mohawk, Lucille Vincent and husband Ron of Utica, and Patricia Hellings and husband Tom of Mohawk, a sister, Rose Nunno of Herkimer, 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. She was pre-deceased by a daughter-in-law, Elsie Lamanna, 2 brothers, Patsy & Rocco, & 3 sisters, Margaret, Josephine & Loretta. Funeral services will be held on Friday March 17, 2006 at 9:00 am from the Holleran & Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer (866-1011) and at 9:30 am from the Church of Sts. Anthony & Joseph where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Anthony Ligato, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer, later in the spring. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Thursday March 16, 2006 from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers please make all memorial contributions to Valley Health Services Developmental Fund.
