MOHAWK – Mary Agnes Hamilton, 92, formerly of Putts Hill Rd., Mohawk, passed away peacefully Friday, May 6, 2016, at Folts Home, Herkimer.
She was born January 8, 1924, in Williamsport, PA, the daughter of George and Maryann (Evans) Hamilton. Mary did housekeeping for several families in Norristown, PA. She was known for her crochet, but also her generosity, creating a wealth of handmade items for family, friends and even those she did not know.
Surviving family members include her brother, Walter Hamilton, of Herkimer; her nephew, Harold Fishbough, of Gillett, PA; and her great-niece, Deb Lum, of Syracuse.
Mary was predeceased by five sisters, Jennie, Minnie, Cora, Nellie and Mabel; and six brothers, Oscar, Elmer, Robert, George, Lawrence and Billy.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend graveside services on Friday, June 17, 2016, at noon at Mohawk Cemetery, Columbia St., Mohawk, NY.
