Mary Frey

MOHAWK - Mary Ann Frey, 75, of 17 Catherine St., Mohawk, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, Utica. She was born on March 29, 1933, in West New York, N.J., the daughter of Robert and Mary (Salerno) Boesch and graduated from Memorial High School. On Jan. 10, 1953, she was married to Richard H. Frey in Western New York, N.J. Mary Ann and Richard owned and operated Frey Embroidery in West New York, N.J., for 17 years. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Mohawk, and the Ladies Auxiliary Bullville Volunteer Fire Department. Mary Ann?s family include her husband, Richard; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Ben Byma of Ilion, Lori and Philip V.O. Jamison of Thompson Ridge, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Justin Byma and his wife Betsy of Cortland, Timothy Byma of Plattsburgh, Brett Byma and his wife Christina of Frankfort, Jesse Byma and his wife Renee of Burlington Flats, Sarah and Abigail Jamison of Thompson Ridge; her great-grandson, Jacob Byma; her nephew, Robert Boesch and his wife Judy of Pennsylvania; two cousins, Mabel and Terri. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Boesch. Funeral service will be held at 10:15 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at Graves-Applegate & Day Funeral Home, 48 E. Main St., Mohawk and 11 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Church, Mohawk, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Father Mark Cunningham, Sacramental Minister, assisted by Sister Mary Jo Tallman, Parish Life Director. Interment will be in Mohawk Cemetery II, Route 28, Vickerman Hill Road, Mohawk. Calling hours are Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Graves-Applegate & Day Funeral Home, Mohawk.
