Mohawk, NY

Mrs. Mary E. White, age 70, of Mohawk, NY, passed away on October 15, 2026, in Cooperstown, NY.

Mary was born on February 28, 1956, in Herkimer, New York, and will be remembered with deep love by all who knew her. She was a daughter of John and Anne Guyer (Mallette). Mary graduated from Mohawk High School and later earned an associate degree in Applied Science from Herkimer County Community College. On April 12, 1975, she married Roy White at the First Presbyterian Church. Mary devoted herself to her family as a stay-at-home mom, giving her time, care, and steady presence to those she loved most.

Her life was shaped by the simple and meaningful things that brought her joy: reading, listening to music and dancing, crocheting and knitting, sewing, spending time with family and friends, and baking Christmas cookies, traditions and pleasures that will remain treasured memories for those she leaves behind.

Above all, Mary’s family was at the center of her life. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Roy White Sr., her children; Roy White and his wife Rhonda, Tim White and his girlfriend Jessica Morrison, and Amy Arndt and her husband Steve. She also leaves behind a beloved circle of grandchildren: Shae and Korey Hoke, Paige Prusakowski, Jonathon White and his fiancée Emily Slaughter, Taylor White and fiancée Gabi Lawrence; Jacob White, Alanna Wiediger, Ethan White and his fiancée McKenna Welsher, Kody White and his girlfriend Dani, Kaycee White, and Declan White. Her love also extended to her siblings and their families, including Sue and Jim Ingerham, John and Barb Guyer, Eileen Parker, and Michael and Charlene Guyer, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anne Guyer, and by her brother-in-law, Dave Parker and sister-in-law Virginia Guyer.

She will be remembered for the warmth she brought into everyday moments, for the care she gave so freely, and for the happiness she found in family, friendship, music, handiwork, and holiday traditions. Her memory will live on in the lives she touched and in the many loving memories her family and friends will carry forward.

In keeping with her wishes, Mary's family will honor her life privately in their own special way.
