Mary Jo Dasey, 75, a resident of Little Falls, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, June 14, 2005 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica. She was born on January 16, 1930, in Little Falls a daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (O'Hara) Dasey and graduated from St. Mary's Academy. She attended Mt. St. Vincent College. Mary was employed by the Herkimer County Trust Company as a trust officer retiring at the age of 65 after 40 years of dedicated service to the city of Little Falls. Mary was a very active member of the Holy Family Parish, Little Falls volunteering many hours to the church activities. She was also a long time volunteer at Little Falls Hospital. A beloved sister, aunt and friend she will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading. Survivors include two brothers: John Dasey and wife Mary of Amherst, NY and James Dasey and wife Cleo of Hamburg, NY; six nieces, one nephew, seven grand nieces and five grand nephews; two aunts: Margaret (O'Hara) Fitzgerald of Little Falls and Rita (O'Hara) Freese also of Albany. Also surviving are many cousins. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, on Friday, June 17, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. Mary's funeral will commence at 11 am on Sat. morn., June 18, from Holy Family Parish, corner of E. Main and John Streets, Little Falls with the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor, officiating. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer where she will be laid to rest. In lieu of floral offerings, kindly consider contributions in her memory to a favorite charity.
