Mary Covuoto

Mary Elizabeth Covuoto, 83 a long time Dolgeville resident, passed away on Monday February 7, 2005 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, NY. She was born March 20, 1921 in Dolgeville the daughter of the late Lawrence & Bessie M. (Plowe) Bogerd, and was a graduate of Dolgeville High School, 1938. Her marriage to Andrew Covuoto took place on April 12, 1941 in Dolgeville. For many years, until her retirement in 1982 Mary worked as a secretary at the former Daniel Green Shoe Company office in Dolgeville. Mrs. Covuoto was a member of the Dolgeville United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Andrew, a son; Richard C. Covuoto of Stuart Florida, a daughter; Caryn Riesel Davis and Flint Davis of Little Falls, a brother; Harold Bogerd and wife Vivian of Dolgeville, 2 sisters; Marjorie Miller of North Carolina, & Ruth Bibbons of Dolgeville, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews & in-laws. She was pre-deceased by 2 brothers; Charles & Donald Bogerd, 2 sisters; Helen Dockerty & Charlotte Bogerd, a grandson; Andrew P. Covuoto and a daughter-in-law; Carolyn Covuoto. In keeping with Mary's wishes, graveside services will take place in the spring at Dolgeville Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home, 3 Faville Ave., Dogleville, NY.
