Born in Buffalo on October 2, 1965, Mark was the son of William H. and Dorothy (Kettunen) Bartels. He was an intelligent man whose education culminated in a Master's Degree. He was never married but is survived by his brother, David Bartels, and his sisters, Sharon Stone, Deborah (Phil) Beiderbecke
Mark was currently working as a groundskeeper for Stonebridge County Club in Frankfort; a place where he was blessed with many friends.
