SPRAKERS- Mrs. Marjorie E. Bowley, 74. of Sprakers Rd. passed away on April 3, 2012 at Mountain Valley Hospice in Gloversville after a courageous battle with lung cancer.



She was born on August 11, 1937 in Mt. Kisco, NY, daughter of the late Frederick and Marjorie (See) Haviland Sr.



Marge was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a graduate of Sharon Springs Central School. Most that knew her would say "She is a tough old bird". She would always say "One day at a time kid". Marge loved to be with her family and friends. She especially loved going to the casino with her sister.



Marge is survived by her husband Kenneth W. Bowley Sr.; her sons: Shane (Marge) Bowley and Kenneth (Theresa) Bowley Jr.; her stepson: David (Norma) Bowley and Daniel (Ida) Bowley; her daughter Denise (Bob) Carter; 25 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; her brother Frederick (Bertha) Haviland Jr.; her sister Janice (Elton) Brownell; several nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her daughters Debbie Bowley and Mitchelle Bowley, her stepdaughter Kim Stone and her sister Pamela Van Anden.



The family will receive relatives and friends from 12-1pm on Saturday , April 7, 2012 at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville. A religious service will be held at the conclusion of the calling hours with the Rev. R.W. Williams officiating. Procession will follow to Fort Plain Cemetery where she will be laid to rest .
