Marilyn was born on February 2, 1931, to the late Dorothy and Harry Koster Sr. Growing up during the Depression on a farm in Boonville NY, Marilyn had a deep appreciation for animals and the county side. She would later share many stories of farm - life with her family.
Raising her children was her everything. Others would come to know her as a “second Mom”. Always a hard worker, Marlyn instilled in her family that virtue will pay off. She loved to travel, read, and watch her special Divine Mercy on EWTN every day at 3pm. She looked forward to her Friday lunches with her cherished friends- especially her ”BFF” Shirley Mead, and celebrating birthdays with her “party of four” with Mary Sanganetti who was very dear to her.
She loved to laugh, was a great listener and met every day with prayers. Marilyn also loved going for rides in the country, stopping for a bite to eat, going on weekly grocery outings, and sitting on her porches watching the birds and chipmunks. She enjoyed the simple pleasures.
