FLORIDA/ILION: Marilyn R. Decker, 50, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2014 at home, with the love and support of her family by her side.
She was born in Ilion, NY on November 24, 1963 to Nancy and the late Bruce Decker. She attended special needs classes in several schools and the ARC in Daytona Beach over the years. She participated in the Special Olympics many times and also had a deep love for sports, dancing, music, and people.
She is survived by her mother, Nancy Decker; her sister, Mary Burch; two nieces, Patricia McDonnell and Barbara Adler; two nephews, Michael Burch and Jay Moody; her aunts, Mary Winslow and Mayme Franco, and a large extended family.
Marilyn is predeceased by her sister, Linda Moody; brothers, Robert and John Moody; and her uncles, Sam and Cesaro Ingro.
The family will gather for a graveside service in her hometown of Ilion, NY on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Cemetery, Route 5, Ilion, NY. Local arrangements have been entrusted to the Enea Family Funeral Home and are under the direction of Harry J. and Kevin E. Enea, Funeral Directors.
