Marie Gargiulo

East Herkimer-Marie H. Gargiulo, 68, of Downey Avenue, East Herkimer, passed away early Tuesday morning, October 21, 2008 peacefully in the comfort of her home. She was born on February 7, 1940 in Little Falls, daughter of the late Adam and Molly (Vezza) Gargiulo. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her sister, Joan Cassella on July 5, 2006. Survivors include her nephews and nieces: Rick Cassella and wife Kim of Elkhart, IN, Frank Cassella of Elkhart, IN and Jim Cassella also of Elkart, IN; great nephews and nieces: Chris, Joey, Adam, Tony, Kayleigh, Taryn, Jordan, and Lyndsey; she is also survived by a dear friend, Lucille Grates. For 23 years, Marie was employed with Herkimer Industries. She was a member of the Senior Center Group of HARC and was of the Catholic faith. Her funeral service will be conducted on Monday, October 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. by Father Anthony Ligato at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington Street, Herkimer. Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer where she will be laid to rest. Marie was loved and adored by all of her wonderful and caring friends at the HARC. She enjoyed being in the presence of friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
