Marie Alexander

CEDARVILLE - Marie T. Alexander, 64, of 222 Greene Ave., Cedarville, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at Faxton-St Luke?s Healthcare, New Hartford. She was born on Oct. 29, 1943, in Rutland, Vt., the daughter of Kerry and Catherine (Gray) Taylor. On Oct. 2, 1971, she was married to Earl Alexander at Cedar Lake, N.Y. Marie was employed as a seamstress at Duofold Co. in Mohawk for 30 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Cedarville Fire Department. Marie was a dedicated worker for Herkimer County Meals on Wheels program and was their site manager at Prindle Apartments, Ilion, for several years. Survivors include her husband, Earl; mother, Catherine Taylor of West Winfield; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Sylvia Taylor, and Kerry Jr. and Jeanette Taylor, all of West Winfield; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Kerry Taylor. In keeping with Marie?s wishes, there are no calling hours or funeral service. Interment will be at Cedarville Cemetery at the convenience of the family. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Herkimer County Meals on Wheels program.
