Margaret Snyder

Margaret A. ?Maggie? Snyder, 69, formerly of Galinsky Apartments, Herkimer, passed away on Sunday May 4, 2008 at Valley Health Services, Herkimer, NY. She was born March 14, 1939, in Queens County, NY the daughter of the late Francis A. and Louise (Blatz) Zurhorst and was a graduate of Forest Hills High School. Margaret was married to John Snyder who preceded her in death. Mrs. Snyder was last employed at Country Marketing in Ilion. Prior to that she worked in the office at Herkimer County Community College. Survivors include three sons, William Mathisen and wife Laura of Herkimer, Wayne Mathisen and wife Kim of Parkville Missouri and Eric Mathisen and fianc?e Virginia and her daughter, Katelyn of Middleville, a sister, Frances L. Curran of Herkimer, her granddaughter, Ann Mathisen and three grandsons, Christopher, Charles and Cooper Mathisen and many special friends. In keeping with Maggie?s wishes funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer, NY. The family and friends of Margaret would like to express our gratitude to Hospice and Valley Health Services for the kindness and compassion shown to her by all of their staff members. For that reason, it is suggested that in lieu of flowers, a contributions might be made to either or both of the organizations.
