Margaret Linscott

Margaret J. ?Jane? Linscott, 91 formerly of 402 S. Litchfield St., Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday September 5, 2007 at the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, Ilion, NY. She was born April 30, 1916 in Madison, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Charles C. and Kathryn (Thompson) Long and was educated in Wisconsin. Her marriage to Elbert W. Linscott took place on June 24, 1940 in Wisconsin. Mr. Linscott passed away in 1986. Margaret was a waitress for the Rainbow Diner in Kerhonkson, NY, and also worked at various diners in Long Island. With family as her foremost priority, Jane proved her self a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren who gave her the nickname G.G. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Linscott of Ilion, two sons, William Linscott of Whitesboro, NY and Dennis Linscott of Florida, a sister, Kathryn Moore of Florida, nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews. She was pre-deceased by a son Ronald Linscott, brothers, Thomas and Vern Long, a sister, Eileen, and her companion, Harold Johnson. Memorial services will be held on Saturday September 8, 2007 at 11:00 am from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, (between Ilion and Frankfort).
