JORDANVILLE-Mrs. Margaret L. (Reeder) Hunter, 94 of Jordanville Road, (town of Stark) entered into eternal rest on Tuesday morning, March 22, 2011 in Folts Homes, Herkimer.
She was born in Chester, PA on Dec. 31, 1916, daughter of the late George and Margaret Reeder and educated in Pennsylvania schools. She was united in marriage with Ernest Hunter who predeceased her in 1992. Mrs. Hunter came to the Mohawk Valley in 2001. For many years she assisted her husband in the operation of the family farm in Hickory Hill, PA.
Survivors inlclude her beloved family; her children: Florence Waltman and husband Jack of NY, Margaret Dilworth and husband John of Pa., Raymond Hunter and wife Flossie of Pa., Norman Hunter and wife Carol of MD, Johnny Hunter and wife Connie of MD, Ernest Hunter and wife BJ of North Carolina and Linda Marshall of Jordanville; two sisters: Thalma Hoffman of Pa., and Catherine of Florida; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her siblings.
There is no public visitation or funeral service. The family will have a private viewing Interment will take place at the convenience of the family. A special thank you is offered to the Folts Homes staff for their kindness and compassion during Maragaret's stay with them. The family is being served by the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer-Daniel J. Enea, director. Please consider a memorial contribution in Margaret's name to Folts Homes of Herkimer.
