Marcus R. Caringi

Mr. Marcus R. Caringi, age 30 of Mohawk, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the Little Falls Hospital.

Marcus was born on November 6, 1995, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. He was born to Jeffrey and Cathleen (Werenczak) Caringi. Marcus graduated from Broadalbin Perth high school, class of 2014. He worked for the Target Distribution Center in Amsterdam, NY for 8 years, prior to that he greatly enjoyed working at Sunnyside Garden in Saratoga, NY where he loved driving the tractor for hayrides in the fall. There was a time when he also worked for Pizza Supreme, another place he truly enjoyed working.

Marcus was a generous, dedicated, hardworking man. He was devoted to his farm, caring for his animals and taking care of the land. He loved hiking, making others laugh and spending time with his daughter who was the light of his life.

He is survived by his parents, Jeffrey and Cathleen Caringi, his beloved daughter Gracelynn, two brothers; Matthew Werenczak and his wife Elizabeth, and Michael Caringi. He also leaves his aunts and uncles; Amy Campanella and her husband Mike, Michael Werenczak and his wife Denise, Carla Russo, Sherri Russo, and Edward Werenczak who was a mentor to him. He is also survived by his girlfriend Amber, his niece Felicity Werenczak, as well as many cousins.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Ed and Joan Werenczak, Adele Weller and Ronnie Caringi, as well as his uncle, Ted Werenczak.

The family would like to express their gratitude to MOVAC and the staff of Little Falls Hospital for their life saving efforts given to Marcus.  

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 (Noon). A funeral service will commence at noon, following the funeral, a graveside service will be held at Mohawk Cemetery.
