Lynne Ann Marhaver

Lynne Ann (Yardley) Marhaver, age 62 of Ilion, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on May 13th, 2026.

Lynne was born December 7th, 1963, the daughter of Roland and Ann Margaret "Peg" (O’Connor) Yardley and the youngest of six siblings, Lynne graduated from Ilion High School with the class of 1982. She worked as a direct support professional for the Office for People of People With Developmental Disabilities for 32 years until she retired in 2018. After her retirement she was a teachers aide and volunteered with Catholic Charities in many different roles.

She had a great love for her family, friends and a love of all animals. From hosting valued friends to spending time with her grandchildren, they were her world. If there were a few words that could closely match what she was like as a person it would be these: Compassionate, Supportive and Humorous.

Lynne will be remembered for her upbeat energy, how thoughtful and caring she was with everyone and everything in her life, her beautiful smile and her ability to throw a good party.

She is survived by her devoted husband, David; her five daughters, Casey McGraw (Braden Murphy), Paige (Andrew) Holden, Erin McGraw (Alexis Duke) Kathleen Marhaver (Dylan Archer) and Emily Marhaver (Brent Riesel) Along with her cherished grandchildren Elijah McGraw, Keira Holden and Theodore Holden.

She is also survived by her brother, Robert Yardley (Janet) and her sister Gail Carney (Shawn) Her brothers in law Brian Marhaver, Robert Marhaver (Tami) John Richards, Her sisters in law Chris Yardley, Robin Marhaver and Joanne Smith (Robert Bouck) and her best friends Cindy Martin and Patty Johnson.

Lynne was predeceased by her parents, Roland and Ann Margaret "Peg" Yardley and her In-laws Ned and Katie Marhaver, Sisters Patricia Yardley and Sharon Richards, her brother Roland Yardley and brothers in law Carl Marhaver and David Smith and granddaughter Peyton McGraw.

She was also blessed in life and close with her many nieces and nephews, cousins and relatives along with many close friends.

She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a graveside service on Thursday, May 21st, 2026, at 1:00pm at Amory Hill Cemetery where Lynne will be laid to rest. In keeping with Lynne’s wishes there will be no public calling hours
