Lynn F. Richards, age 65, died a noble death doing what he always did to help anyone in need on August 9th, 2026. He was always there, unselfishly giving his time and assistance, wisdom and love to family, friends, and strangers alike.
He was born on October 1st, 1960, in Fort Plain, New York, a son of the late Howard, Sr., and Veronica (Lynch) Richards. He was a loyal and loving husband to Nancy Urbiss Richards, and together they shone their love for their children, grandchildren, and endless friends.

Lynn loved spending time on his boat on Kyser Lake and travelling to Black River. He enjoyed working around his house, spending time every day at his garage with many friends throughout the years. He would host Sunday pitch tournaments where friends would gather to enjoy time together. He was a great cook and loved BBQing and smoking meat. His passions also included hunting, fishing, four wheeling, snowmobiling, gardening and always loved spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his parents, Howard & Veronica, and his wife Marilyn Pollard in 2001. As well as brothers Howard, Jr., Gary and his sister Darlene.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Nancy, his children, daughter Angie Richards (Dave Martyniuk) of Amsterdam, and sons Travis (Kayla) Richards of Florida and Jason Urbiss of Dolgeville. Siblings, Donald Richards, Arthur Richards, and Kevin (Lucinda) Richards. Grandchildren, John (Melody) Petkovsek, Brianna Petkovsek, Mya Richards, Owen Richards, and Wyatt Richards. His great-grandchild, Dorothy Petkovsek, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. He had a very special four-legged side kick, Ruger Henry. He had so many special friendships throughout the years that few are blessed with.
