Lucille Reed

Lucille B. Reed, age 90, a lifelong resident of the Mohawk Valley, passed away peacefully on Sat. March 11, 2006 at Valley Health Services after a brief illness. Lucille was born April 9, 1915 in Oriskany Falls, daughter of Harry and Edna (Peck) Burton. On Nov. 21, 1936, she was united in marriage to Paul B. Reed in West Winfield. They shared 67 years of marriage until Mr. Reed's passing on Aug. 6, 2004. Lucille was an avid quilter and seamstress. She was a member of the Mohawk United Methodist Church for many years. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: James T. and Constance H. Reed of Fairport, NY, and her granddaughters Kirsten Reed of Sierra Madre, Ca., and Victoria Reed Schubert of Zurich, Switzerland. In keeping with Lucille's wishes there will be no public calling hours. A graveside memorial service in Mohawk Cemetery will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
