Utica: Lucille D. Pfluke, 94, of Cosby Road, Utica, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2011 in St. Luke's Home, New Hartford.
Lucille was born on June 6, 1917 in Marcy, NY, a daughter of the late John Ray. She was educated in Whitesboro and Marcy. She was married to Lynn Pfluke, who predeceased her. Lucille worked as a hostess at the Holiday Inn, both in Rome and Utica.
Mrs. Pfluke is survived by two daughters, Shirley LaMonte of New Hartford and Linda Budlong of Lee Center, four grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, John Ray, husband, Lynn, a son, Ronald, sisters, Mary, Fannie, and Grace, and brothers, James, Joseph, and Pat.
Lucille's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Reverend Anthony LaFache in St. Anthony of Padua's Church, Tilden Avenue, Utica, on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 10 am. Burial will immediately follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Wood Road, Whitesboro.
Those wishing may make a contribution in Lucille's memory to the American Cancer Society, 100 Lomond Court, Suite 6, Utica, NY 13502. Envelopes will be available at the church.
