Lucille Gruet

Lucille R. Gruet, 80, of 536 Short Lots Road, Frankfort, passed away Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, at Faxton Hospital, with her loving family by her side. Lucille was born April 25, 1924, in Kingston, daughter of the late Samuel and Mabel Mae Morgan. She attended Kingston schools. On Dec. 28, 1959, she was united in marriage to Jean P. Gruet in Northville, a blessed union of 44 years. A dedicated homemaker, Lucille was a very unselfish, compassionate mother. She had total everlasting devotion to her family. Survivors include her husband, Jean; seven children, Michael Gruet and his wife Laura of Schuyler, Kenneth Gruet and his wife Amy of Ilion, Richard Gruet of Ilion, Brenda Gruet of Mohawk, Louis Gruet and his wife Renee of Little Falls, William Gruet of Schuyler and Barbara Walker of Herkimer; 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one daughter, Ann Marie Gruet and one brother, Burton Morgan. Mrs. Gruet's funeral service will be held Friday, Aug. 20, commencing at 10 a.m. at the Applegate and Day Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion. Procession to West Schuyler Cemetery for interment will follow. Family and friends are invited to visitation Friday from 9-10 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Those wishing to do so may consider memorial contributions in Lucille's name to the Faxton Foundation. Donation envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
