Louise A. Clark, a devoted dietary and resident aide who dedicated her career to caring for others at Folts Home and the Masonic Home, passed away peacefully at her home on March 27, 2026. Born on January 28, 1949, Louise lived a life marked by kindness, quiet strength, and a deep love of family.
Louise was known not just for her professional dedication but also for her gentle and nurturing spirit. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—tending to her garden with meticulous care and delighting in the company of her loved ones. Many recall her watching the neighbors walk by, peacefully enjoying the small moments that connected her to her community.
Born into a loving family, Louise faced life's challenges with grace. Though she has preceded in death her beloved husband Howard Clark, her heart continued to beat in the memories and lives of those she held dear. Her brothers Ralph and John Bouton and sisters Grace and Linda Bouton also passed before her, leaving behind treasured remembrances of sisterly and brotherly bonds.
Surviving Louise are those who loved her deeply and who will carry forward her legacy. She leaves behind her step-sons David Clark and his wife Pamela, Dennis Clark and his wife Jill, as well as her brothers Robert Bouton and his wife Sharon, Glenn Bouton, and her sister Doris Scheiderich and her husband Chris. Her family circle extends warmly to her grandchildren—Mitchell, Matthew, Nathan, Nicholas, and Emily Clark—and her great-grandson, Cru Clark, whose presence ensured that her love will span generations.
Louise was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins, who all felt the gentle warmth of her spirit. Her kindness and dedication, whether in her professional role or in the intimate moments of tending her garden and family, will be deeply missed.
Her life's story is one of quiet generosity, steadfast care, and an unwavering commitment to the people around her. As those who knew her mourn her passing, they also celebrate the fullness of a life well-lived—a life that enriched the lives of others in countless ways.
Louise A. Clark’s memory will remain a blessing to her family, friends, and all who were privileged to know her gentle heart and strong spirit. In honoring her, we remember a woman whose simple joys and loving nature left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to share in her life.
A spring burial at Litchfield cemetery will be announced at a later date.
