Mr. Louis Peter Rovazzi, Jr., age 54, a Little Falls native, entered into eternal rest on Sunday morning, February 8, 2004 in the Largo Medical Center, Largo, Florida. His passing occurred after a heart attack that he suffered earlier this year. He was born on June 19, 1949 in Little Falls, a son of the late Louis Peter and Rita (Casey) Rovazzi, Sr., and was educated in Little Falls schools. He attended SUNY Albany. On April 13, 2003 he was united in marriage with the former Debbie Malowski in St. Petersburg, Florida. Peter was the proud third generation owner and operator of Rovazzi's West End Liquor store where he faithfully served the residents of Little Falls for 31 years, retiring in January of 2002. Peter was a hard-working man who dedicated himself to caring for his business and brought forth commitment, concern and conscientious effort to each of his customers. Through the business he established many rewarding and lasting relationships. Gifted with a wonderful sense of humor, he served as a special confidante to his many friends and always accepted the values and responsibilities of these relationships. He was a man of energy, straightforwardness and will be remembered for offering his advice with honesty and directness. Peter had a unique and memorable flair for entertaining and hospitality. Any gathering of friends served as a showcase for his fun-loving personality and wonderful sense of humor. Above all, he considered his son, Peter to be a foremost priority in his life offering to him his guidance and encouragement, always taking great pride in his accomplishments, and demonstrating his very best in times of need. He was a communicant of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. A very civic minded person he belonged to the former Little Falls Moose Lodge, Little Falls Polish Community Home, Little Falls Elk's Lodge #42, DeCarlo Staffo Post #8 and was a 30 year honorary member of the Little Falls Rotary Club, never missing a meeting. Survivors include his beloved wife Debbie of Florida, a son, Louis "Peter" Rovazzi, III of Mohawk and his mother Ginny Jaquish and husband Bill of Mohawk, a step son, Sean Ahern of Florida, four sisters, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving are numerous wonderful friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Wednesday, February 11, 2004 from 4-8 p.m. Peter's funeral will commence at 10 a.m. from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered and at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Parish, corner of E. Main and John Sts., Little Falls with the Rev. Thomas Vail, officiating. He will be laid to rest this spring in St. Mary's Cemetery, (Sherman St.), Little Falls.
