NEWPORT - LonDale "Dale" King, II, age 28, formerly of Newport, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 20, 2014.
He was born on February 7, 1986, in Dallas, TX. Dale attended Herkimer and West Canada schools. Dale loved Amber, his children, family and friends. He enjoyed basketball, camping and being outdoors. Dale was loved by many. He was smart, funny and outgoing. He cherished everyone.
He is survived by Amber and his three children, Desiree King, Shawna King and LonDale King, III, all of Newport; his mother, Stacey Lawrence, of Hamilton; his father, LonDale King, I, of Dallas, TX; his grandparents, Charlotte and John Price, I, of Mohawk, NY, and Hilda and Roosevelt Austin, of Dallas, TX; three sisters, Brittany King, of Dallas, TX, Gail Tenzer Kramer, of N.Y.C., NY, and Mesha Rutledge, of Dallas, TX; three brothers, Dakota Price, of Hamilton, NY, Derek Handley, of Arlington, TX, and John Price, III, of Ilion, NY; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and long time friends.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, Bruce Lawrence, Sr.
Funeral services will be held 5:30 p.m., Thursday, August 28, 2014, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion (old Main St. between Ilion and Frankfort), with Rev Brian Engel, Pastor of the Mohawk Reformed Church, officiating.
Calling hours are Thursday, 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the funeral home, prior to the service.
