ILION - Linda Ann Ward, age 74, a resident of Ilion, New York, passed away April 17, 2023, in Nashville, Tennessee, with her family by her side. Linda was a native New Yorker, born in Orange County in 1948, to the late Robert and Madeline (Garrison) Hoaglander.
The late Dr. James and Linda Ward were happily married for 53 years, the last two decades of which were spent as residents in Herkimer County. Linda was a Licensed Practical Nurse until becoming a mother, at which time she dedicated herself to raising her two daughters and life as a United States Navy wife. Linda volunteered at Little Falls Baptist Church in the children’s Awana program and Samaritan’s Purse drives. Additionally, Linda volunteered at Valley Health Services while Dr. Ward was the Medical Director.
She is survived by her daughters, Lynne M. Ward, (partner Brian A. Morphis) and Sarah E. Ward Harvey and husband, Jeremy T. Harvey; and her beloved grandchildren: Taylor A. Ruby and Noah T. and Rhys S. Harvey.
Funeral Services will be held all in one day. There will be a calling hour, on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion, New York, thence to Saratoga National Cemetery for final Committal Services, at 1:30 p.m., that day. All are invited to attend.
All of Linda’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Enea, Ciaccia & Applegate Funeral Directors.
