MOHAWK-Harper, Linda A. , 71, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, October 30, 2012, in the St. Luke's Home, New Hartford, with her loving family at her side.
She was born on December 18, 1940, in Oneida, the daughter of the late Oris and Helen Alfred Babcock. Linda started her education in Camden Schools and graduated in 1958.
Linda was employed as a cashier/bookkeeper in Great American in Little Falls and Ilion and more recently with "Herb" Philipsons in Herkimer.
She is survived by her daughter Christine Miklich DeAngelo and her husband Joe; her beloved granddaughter Marissa DeAngelo and her sister Kathryn Kane. She is also survived by her pets Ziffy, Casey and Hammy.
She was predeceased by her daughter Laurie Miklich and her brother David Babcock.
Linda's funeral service and interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Mohawk Cemetery, Vickerman Hill, Mohawk.
Relatives and close friends are invited to a gathering on Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. at her residence. Contributions, in Linda's memory, may be offered to the Herkimer County Humane Society, P.O. Box 73, Mohawk, NY 13407.
