Linda Marie Dygert

ILION – Linda Marie Dygert, age 69, passed away September 7, 2018 in Ilion , NY .

She was born December 23, 1948 in Little Falls, daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Seifried) Thurston and was last employed with Herkimer Industries. Linda was very caring and loving. She just attended the NYS Fair which was a joy to her and went to Disney World with her niece. She had wonderful times and was treated like gold. She even went to NYC on a train. She loved to listen to country music. A very special thank you is extended to the Herkimer Area Resource Center with special mention to Brook Street for their exceptional care. Also to the Mohawk Valley Adult Daycare Center in Ilion , they are just wonderful. Also, a very special thank you is extended to Faxton – St. Luke’s Healthcare for their special care and comfort care.

Linda is survived by her beloved daughters, Susan Ann Dygert, of Herkimer and Tammy Lynn Dygert, of Ilion; her sister, Betty Brown, of Whitesboro; her brothers, Harold “Sonny” Thurston and wife, Ruth, of Ilion and Richard Thurston and wife, Vicky, of Blossvale; a half-brother, Fred LaFleur, of Washington State; an aunt, Anna Seifried, of Little Falls; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter, shortly after birth, Tina Marie Dygert.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at 1PM at The Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road , Ilion , NY . Interment will be in Rural Park Cemetery , Inghams Mills. A calling hour is prior to the service, Noon until 1PM. Arrangements are with Funeral Directors Harry & Kevin Enea and Martin Ciaccia.
