Linda C. (March) Dougherty, 62, of W. Monroe St., Little Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday afternoon, November 15, 2006 while traveling to see her son in Washington. She was born on May 15, 1944 in Little Falls, daughter of the late Merlin and Hazel (Lasher) March and was educated in Ft. Plain schools. Her blessed union of 32 years with her husband Francis W. Dougherty began on May 1, 1965. He passed away on January 20, 1998. She was last employed with the County of Herkimer as a social worker. Linda was a devoted to faith and a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls. She belonged to the Red Hat Society. Linda was gifted with a kind heart and generous attitude and enjoyed coming together with family and friends. She displayed a deep commitment to her loved ones and was a devoted and involved mother and grandmother. She was an inspiration to all those she touched in her life and will be forever remembered by all who knew her as a loved one and dear friend. Survivors include her beloved children: Tracy Dougherty and wife Susan of Rennselaer and Danny Daugherty and wife Viki of Washington; four cherished grandchildren: Scott Dougherty, Ryan Dougherty, Liam Dougherty and Meghan Dougherty; inlaws: Margaret Lawrence of Utica and her daughter Susan and Patricia Seifred; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her sister Dorothy Damulis. The family will be present in Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, to receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. A prayer will be offered at 10:30 a.m on Tuesday in the chapel of the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 11 am in Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Albany St., Little Falls with the Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarcia, rector, officiating. Procession will follow to Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband Francis.
