Leroy Jones

Mr. LeRoy A. Jones, age 56 of Route 365, Hinkley passed away on Sunday morning, November 10, 2002 at Valley Health Services, Inc., Herkimer after an extended illness. LeRoy was born on October 5, 1946 in Poland a son of the late Arthur and Lillian (Hubbard) Jones. He received his education in Poland schools and lived the greater part of his life in the Poland area. LeRoy was owner of the former Valley Stereo Store on Mohawk Street in Herkimer and was an antique dealer. Survivors include a son, LeRoy Luke Jones and companion Brenda Weeks, two daughter's, Brigid Jones and Theresa Jones Colver, a sister Linda Cox and a granddaughter Eliza Jones, an aunt, Myrtle Irons and husband Robert, two uncles George Hubbard and wife Jean and William Hubbard and wife MaryAnn. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Jones. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Holleran-Enea Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer on Wednesday morning, November 13, 2002 from 10-11 am. The funeral will commence at the conclusion of the calling hour. The Rev. Patricia Lawrence, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Herkimer will officiate. Funeral procession will follow to Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer where LeRoy will be laid to rest in the family plot.
