Leo M Hodowski

LITTLE FALLS-Mr. Leo M. Hodowski (Lt. Col. USAF retired),89 of Furnace St. passed away at Little Falls Hospital on August 25, 2008 after a brief illness. He was born on August 18, 1919 in Little Falls to Alexander and Alice(Chomicka)Hodowski. He was educated in Little Falls. He was a graduate of Syracuse University with degrees in chemical engineering and teaching. Leo was a decorated Veteran of World War II. He was a pilot for 23 years in the Air Force. Upon his retirement from the military, Leo taught school in Little Falls and St. Johnsville. He is survived by his daughter Nancy A. Sherwood of Little Falls, his companion Beverly Staley, his sister in law Chris Hodowski of Long Beach, CA and her children and several cousins. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Dr. David Liu and the hospital staff for their special care. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home (Little Falls)from 7-9pm on Thursday August 28, 2008. Mr. Hodowski's funeral will commence at 10am Friday, Aug. 27th where a prayer service will be offered. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery in East Herkimer where he will be laid to rest.
