LITTLE FALLS-HERKIMER: Lena Jantosciak, 92, a long time Little Falls resident, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Folts Home, Herkimer.
Born in Little Falls, NY on March 14, 1921, Lena was the daughter of the late Mike and Anna (Riznik) Rusin. She was educated in Little Falls Schools and on November 9, 1941 she was united in marriage to Steve Jantosciak at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, sharing 68 years of unconditional love and mutual respect until his passing on April 5, 2010. Lena worked for many years at Univac.
She is survived by her sons, Paul Jantosciak of East Herkimer, Bruce Jantosciak and his wife Sue of Peach Tree City, Georgia; her cherished grandchildren, Brian and Lori, Adam and Jennifer, Kelly, Leslie and Jillian; seven great-grandchildren, a brother, John Rusin of Little Falls; her sisters, Frances Brinski of Amsterdam, Mary Tumski of Little Falls and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Rusin and a sister, Stafie Andrews.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no public calling hours. Memorial contributions can be made to the Folts Home, 104 N. Washington Street, Herkimer, NY 13350.
