HERKIMER - Mr. Lee W. Holtz, Sr., age 71, a lifelong Mohawk Valley resident, passed away suddenly on May 29, 2024 at the Wynn Hospital in Utica.
Born on July 4, 1952, Lee was the son of the late Mary (Streeter) Holtz. He was raised and educated locally, graduating from Ilion High School and attending the Utica School of Commerce. Through the years he drove truck and worked for the Herkimer County DPW.
Lee is survived by his children, Lee Holts, Jr., Michael Holtz, Adaire Holtz and Vanessa Holtz; his siblings, Judy Dreesen and Dan, Darlynn Libritz and David, Victoria Austin and John, Sr., Merrill Holtz, Jr. and Lisa and Lynn Holtz and Catherine; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his mother, Mary; his children, Shawn Holtz and Leah Holtz; and his two former wives, Michele Holtz and Kimberly Holtz.
In keeping with Lee's wishes there will be no formal services. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Enea, Ciaccia and Applegate Funeral Directors. Online notes of sympathy may be left at www.eneafamily.com .
