ST. JOHNSVILLE - Laura Zimmerman, a resident of Wohlgemuth Rd., a home within Lexington ARC, located in St. Johnsville, NY (Town of Ephratah), peacefully departed, on Tuesday evening, April 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving older sister and Lexington family.
Laura was born June 12, 1954, in Queens, New York to the late Max and Rita (Eisenberg) Zimmerman. Laura was a longtime resident of the area, namely living with her Lexington family. Laura was of the Jewish faith, however, was open minded and happily celebrated/supported all faiths alongside her peers at Wohlgemuth Rd.
Laura spent many moments living her best life with her Lexington family. She was a stylish, kind, yet sassy woman, who loved looking her best and enjoying the finer things in life. Laura may have been nonverbal, but her eyes and face always said it all! She was not shy to speak her mind and loved to share her smile and laughter with everyone around her! Laura loved listening to oldies, watching Hallmark movies, shopping, gardening and going on scenic adventures with her friends. Her beautiful brown eyes always conveyed loving warmth and care, all of which will be greatly missed.
Laura leaves behind her older sister, Paula Zimmerman; her nephew, Gabe; and her forever Wohlgemuth/Lexington family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, April 29, 2024, at the Enea Family Funeral Home, located at 9 Center Street, St. Johnsville, NY 13452. A calling hour will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., prior to the Funeral Services, followed by the burial, at the Dolgeville Cemetery.
Laura’s sister and Lexington would like to include a very special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff, of Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, for offering so much care, support and concern. We are eternally grateful.
